Aoda Toys
Aoda Toys is a Chinese toy manufacturer which produces radio control, toy, and diecast vehicles, spinning tops (reminiscent to that of the Beyblade toy line), infant toys, and yo-yos. They are most known for their low quality, their uncanny similarities to products from major yo-yo manufacturers, and their reproduction of patented yo-yo designs.
Aoda began as a manufacturer of counterfeit versions of products made by Auldey Toys (which at the time were mostly Mini 4WD's). In fact, the name "Aoda" in Pinyin (奥达) closely resembles Auldey's name in Pinyin (奥迪, "Aodi"). However, early Aoda products used the Pinyin "奥迪", the exact same Pinyin of Auldey's name, which makes the connection even more obvious.
Aoda started making yo-yos probably around 1999 or 2000, when they sold counterfeit versions of yo-yos from Auldey's 1999 Super Yo-Yo (超级悠悠) line-up, which, in turn, were counterfeit versions of yo-yos from Bandai's 1997 Hyper Yo-Yo line-up.
Criticism[]
The majority of Aoda's products are counterfeit ("bootleg") versions of Auldey's products. Because of this, the overall look & shape of many yo-yos produced by Aoda closely resembles that of yo-yos produced by major western yo-yo manufacturers.
Patents[]
Aoda often produces yo-yos using technology protected by US patent law. Although the use of these part designs are protected in the US, there are no restrictions in countries outside the US.
YoYoJam[]

Dif-e-Yo[]
