- Not to be confused with the Yomega Hyper Mirage.
The Mirage (Item No. 635010) was a yo-yo produced by Auldey Toys in 1999 for its Super Yo-Yo (超级悠悠) line-up.
It is a counterfeit version and a clone of the Fireball, which was produced by Yomega and licensed to Bandai for its Hyper Yo-Yo line-up. The difference is that two of the plastic ring-shaped weights on each side cap were modified, and screws were added to secure the side cap to the body of the yo-yo. Thus, the caps could be removed, and customization parts could be added inside the body of the yo-yo.
Like most Yomega-based molds, Auldey would use this Fireball copy mold again and again to make parts of many of its yo-yos released in the following years.
Variants[]
- An older variant of this yo-yo exists, which had clear yellow caps instead of colorless. The caps were screwed from the outside of the yo-yo, instead of from the inside. One of the caps also had a hole where supposedly the plastic tab was inserted to prevent the battery from touching the terminal; however, the Mirage did not contain any electronics in it.
