The Hyper Dragon Fire (Japanese: ハイパードラゴンファイアー) is a yo-yo produced and released by Bandai in June of 1999 as part of the Hyper Dragon series.

Description[]

It is almost completely identical to the standard Hyper Dragon, the only main difference being the Frame Caps. The fragility issue of the Frame Caps of the standard Hyper Dragon was addressed, and this time, the Frame Caps are made of solid black fiberglass-reinforced plastic without an aluminum frame, which makes it sturdier and also makes the yo-yo weigh about 2 grams less than the standard Hyper Dragon, albeit less visually interesting.

The Frame Caps depict a series of eight blue fireballs (four larger ones, and four smaller ones) swirling counter-clockwise around the lock mechanism, as a contrast to the Hyper Dragon Aqua's swirling tidal waves. This design is reminiscent of the Yomega Fireball Collectors Edition.

It was released at the same time as the Hyper Dragon Aqua. Just as the Hyper Dragon Aqua was developed for 1A, the Hyper Dragon Fire is meant for looping and 2A play.

Of course, as with any other model in the Hyper Dragon line, it can be customized for the user's personal preferences.
