The Menehune was Buzz-On's first miniature yo-yo, consisting of an undersized plastic body with inlaid aluminum weight rings. The Menehune, along with the Element X Pro introduced SPR, an interchangeable response system which combines the bearing spacers with the response pads.
The Menehune initially came in white and black, and had non-engraved weight rings. They were later produced in red and blue, and the weight rings were engraved.
There was a logo version of this yo-yo made for the 2004 MWR contest, and 2005 Worlds.
The Menehune body was the basis for the DV8.
