The Chico Yo-yo Company was set up after world war two by Joe Radovan and Pedro Flores.
Pedro acted as a demonstrator for the company, using both Chico and Royal (another one of Joe's companies) yo-yos. Joe focused his attention on Royal however, since it was his most popular brand. Given the more diverse nature of the Royal products, this is understandable and therefore the models available under the Chico brand was limietd. Of the Chico models produced, most are identical to a Royal model.
Each of the yo-yos featured a one-piece wooden construction with a decal logo. Due to the scarcity of these models, they are very popular with collectors and fetch very high prices.
