The Grasshopper is a yo-yo designed specifically by János Karancz for his unique and awe-inspiring playing style, especially in slack tricks.
Its profile resembles a Step Round Barracuda, and has flat side faces. The innermost edges of the yo-yo's silhouette are straight, curving gently into an Inverse Round shape. At around 44.5mm in width, the Grasshopper also has weight distribution that focuses mass on the outer edges. This gives a playing feeling that appeals to players who focus on control or power.
In 2017, Duncan released a new bi-metal version of the Grasshopper, the Grasshopper X.
