The Grasshopper X is a new version of the Grasshopper yo-yo released by Duncan in 2017. It is the second signature series model of János Karancz.

The Grasshopper X is a bi-metal yo-yo, comprised of a 7075 aluminum alloy body with beautifully inset stainless steel rings in the inner rims. The addition of the rings improved upon the original Grasshopper's overall play feeling and weight distribution, along with making it spin longer and more stable for players wanting to step things up.
Another design element for the new Grasshopper X, devised by János himself, is the incorporation of special side faces to make it easier to perform his signature top on style tricks. The yo-yo also features an officially-licensed KonKave C-bearing from Dif-e-Yo.
