The ProFire is a yo-yo design Duncan obtained as a result of the buying-out of Playmaxx. As with the original ProYo ProFire, it featured a two-piece brass transaxle sleeve and BPT (Brake Pad Technology) response.
The ProFire originally came with translucent red body halves, which carred over from the Playmaxx assets, but once the supply of trans red halves was diminished, they re-released the ProFire in four opaque colors.
