The Steamroller is the first yo-yo product released by the France-based XCube in 2010.
Description[]
The Steamroller may be small in diameter, but it makes up for it in its wide profile with an aggressive, H-shaped inverse round profile looking something like an actual steamroller. The shape allows for a very wide catch zone, making it easier to land string tricks. In keeping with the motif, one side of the yo-yo has a stylized depiction of a steamroller laser-engraved upon it, and for a humorous (if not mortifying) effect, there is also a cartoonish laser engraving of a run-over cat.
The yo-yo uses a D-sized bearing, which is smaller and spins faster than the more common C-bearing. The bearing also has a concave shape on its outer race that centers the string for unresponsive play. The Steamroller also uses specialty-sized silicone response pads made by XCube for this and other D-bearing yo-yos in their line-up. It is packaged in a cylindrical container and also comes included with an extra bearing. Each Steamroller yo-yo also comes with a serial number printed on it. Also, the outside edges of the rim are rather sharp, so the user should be careful not to cut him/herself.

The Acrylic Steamroller is a yo-yo produced in collaboration by 3yo3 and XCube, based on the design of the original Steamroller.
Machined out of acrylic plastic, this version of the Steamroller inherits its aluminum cousin's aggressive H-shaped profile. Instead of a D-sized bearing and XCube's specialty silicone response pads, the yo-yo features a large C-bearing, along with thin Hat Pad response from General Yo, typical for most 3yo3 yo-yos of the time.
