Hans Van Dan Elzen (also known as Yohans) is one of the best-known yo-yo community personalites. As a past recipient of The Mark Sitton Award for Sportsmanship, he is well known as a competitor, demonstrator for (Playmaxx/ProYo) and manufacturer (owner of Playmaxx and YoYoFactory). He was also very popular to British players back in the 1990s.

In 1998, Hans recorded a song titled "Walk The Dog Like An Egyptian" that climbed to number 48 on the UK pop charts.

In 2005 Hans bettered his Guinness World Record of 51 yo-yo tricks in one minute, set in 2004, by performing 54 using the YoYoFactory FAST 201. In 2006, Hans "unofficially" broke this records during a F.A.S.T. promotion in Singapore, performing 62 yo-yo tricks in 60 seconds. In addition, Hans held the world record for the longest sleeper (7 minutes 8 seconds) and for the longest string performed with (12 feet 3 inches), but these records have since been surpassed. At the 2009 Worlds, Hans beat the previous longest sleeper by 2 minutes and a total of (19 minutes and 28 seconds).
