The Brookstone Cocobolo Yo Yo was produced by Hummingbird as a custom model for the Brookstone, Inc. retail store chain.
It shares the same dimensions and shape as the Trickster, but is heavier due to the yo-yo being constructed of exotic cocobolo wood.
Cocobolo, a tropical hardwood of Central American trees belonging to the genus Dalbergia, is heavier than the multi-colored wood strips used in standard laminated Tricksters, making the Brookstone weigh in at around 71 grams. Because of cocobolo's density, the body halves and axle are difficult to glue together, so if the yo-yo falls apart, epoxy would be needed to re-glue it.
Like most other yo-yos in the Hummingbird line-up, it has an Imperial shape ideal for looping and performing the classic tricks.
