The Trickster is a yo-yo produced by Hummingbird, first released in the mid-1980s.
One of the most popular models in the Hummingbird line, this yo-yo marked the introduction of Brad Countryman's multi-layer lamination technique, achieved by dying wood strips in different colors and then shrinking them together. Lamination would increase its strength and longevity, also providing resistance to long term shrinkage and warping. It came in either an Imperial shape or a Butterfly profile.
They were also used for promotional purposes, and certain professional yo-yo players had their own special signature editions of the Trickster, such as Dale Myrberg, Jennifer Baybrook and Dennis McBride.
