The Kainer is a yo-yo released in 2011 by Japan Technology.

While the popular Kamui was in production, the Kainer was in development at the time as a sort of sibling model, undergoing rigorous testing for Japan Technology to gather plentiful data in order to make the Kainer an offstring yo-yo that could exceed the Kamui. Founder and owner Atsushi Yamada himself had modestly admitted that the Kainer "might have" surpassed the Kamui in performance.

The yo-yo was made with more precision, allowing it to spin better than its lauded sibling. The inner body is strengthened to smooth out when the yo-yo lands on the string while keeping sleep loss to an absolute minimum. The Kainer's design allowed for easy grinding and regenerations. It also uses 19.6mm Joker Pad response, and comes included with Type 80 pads for a weaker response. This allows the Kainer to use other 19.6mm-sized pads for more flexibility. The yo-yo is also included with washers and O-rings for an adjustable string gap width.
