The CODE1 (short for Community/One Drop Experiment #1) is a yo-yo first released in 2011 by One Drop.
Description[]
The CODE1 is a yo-yo developed by One Drop with input provided by the yo-yoing community. On the YoYoNation forum, a series of polls were held to determine the yo-yo's design elements, from the response system to the profile, and even the physical measurements. One Drop collected the data from the polls, as well as the opinions of many players on the forums, and applied it all into the design of the final product.
The yo-yo has a stepped H-shape with a concave catch zone, which also features Projection Profile grooves for reduced friction on grind tricks. Along with that, it also boasts the typical Flow Groove response and 10-ball stainless steel C-bearing. The CODE1 is also Side Effect-compatible, and comes stock with a special CODE1 Side Effect that features a shallow, wide-angled point with inverse sides.
A 7075 version of the yo-yo, the GZR CODE1, was also released, featuring a Center Trac bearing and a Spike Side Effect.
It is succeeded by the CODE2 Nautilus.
