The Rebirth is a yo-yo first released by One Drop on October 14th, 2015, as a signature series yo-yo of team player Ryosuke Kawamura. It is a modern remake of the original Project.
Description[]
Based on the Project, the Rebirth is a mid-sized 53mm in diameter, with some improvements on the shape including slightly angular, lower-edged rims and a stepped response area similar to the MarkMont Classic. It also features the grooves of the legendary Projection Profile, allowing for lower friction on grinding tricks. The redesigned profile of the Rebirth leads to minimal sleep loss and a long, steady spin. It also includes the usual Ultra Light Side Effect, which can also be switched out to change the weight of the yo-yo, the feeling of play, and visual impact.
The Rebirth is colored in One Drop's Pyramatte finish, along with a variant in a nickel-plated finish reminiscent of the original MarkMont Project. With all these modernized enhancements, not forgetting the Flow Groove response and 10 ball C-bearing, the Rebirth combines the nostalgia of the Project with the technologies seen in the current models in One Drop's line-up. Adding to the nostalgic factor is the symbol on the packaging modeled after the hex nut of the original Project's axle system.
