Rock the Baby is a basic picture trick. No special mounting skills are required, so the only thing you need to know is how to throw a Sleeper.
There are lots of variations on this theme, as almost any hold, where you have a rather triangular loop of string in your hand, allows you to rock the yo-yo in it. Some of the more notable variations are also listed on this page.
Instructions[]
Step 1: Throw a Sleeper. Pull a string loop through the gap beteween your throw hand index finger and thumb. This move is the same as Robin Hood.
Step 2: Widen the loop with your free hand and bring it down.
Step 3: Now you can swing the yo-yo through the loop, back...
Step 4: ...and forward.
Step 5: After a few swings, throw the yo-yo forward...
Step 6: ...and let go of the string. The yo-yo will start to wind...
Step 7: ...eating up the string loop...
Step 8: ...and return to your hand. Catch from above.

Trapeze Baby[]
Step 1: Trapeze Baby is a variation, where the yo-yo hangs in a string loop. Start with a Trapeze.
Step 2: Bring your hands together...
Step 3: ...and put your throw hand against the strings.
Step 4: Widen the loop around your free hand...
Step 5: ...and bring it down.
Step 6: You can now rock the yo-yo inside the loop. In a performance, you might say something like: "Did you know? Trapeze artists rock their babies with a safety rope." Dismount by simply reversing the steps above until you are back in a trapeze.
