Spencer Berry's Theodore was his second effort to create a yo yo that met his own style of play.
"The same ideas pervade the concept: responsive, soft in the hand, durable, hardcoat, built for play.
Theodore is wider than Walter. That is the main difference."
Player's Edition[]
He sold a limited run of around 100 of the black (hardcoated) version, of which 1-100 were numbered on the inner wall. These shipped without any packaging (unlike the Walter) because Spencer's intent is for them to be played, not collected. They shipped with a "nasty" greased bearing to facalitate responsive play and had an original price of $150.
The Metal Edition[]
Spencer has plans to eventually release a metal plated (gold, silver, or copper?) version at a higher price point ($200+?) with nice packaging for collectors. It is likely that these will be released in 2020 or after.
