The Super Aqua Dragon (超速水龍), also known as the Super Water Dragon, is a roller-bearing yo-yo produced for the Super Yo-Yo line of yo-yos. It is among the Professional level yo-yos in that line, and is also labeled as a Limited Edition along with the Super Dragon Ball and Super Fire Dragon.
Despite the "Limited Edition" label, it gained popularity among yo-yo players in China and Southeast Asia as a yo-yo with decent performance, and it was sold in stores for a very long time, albeit in different colored stickers.
It is a clone of the Yomega Hyper Warp Wing, which features a flat winged shape to make landing string tricks easier, and a metal roller bearing for longer spin time.
It is packaged with the two halves of the yo-yo disassembled, probably to make the presentation resemble the packaging of the Bandai Hyper Dragon line of yo-yos.
This model would eventually be modified as an upgraded set and released in Hong Kong as the Supreme Aqua Dragon, which came with a set of rim weights, a smaller roller bearing with a set of spacers, and an optional wooden axle.
Variations[]
Sets which had silver or gold colored stickers came with a small size K (4 x 8 x 3mm) roller bearing and its corresponding spacers. Special Glow-in-the-dark Editions of this yo-yo variation also exist.
Sets which had blue stickers came with a larger size A bearing with different spacers.
Trivia[]
- The character depicted on one side of the yo-yo is Seito Hojoin.
- It is loosely named after the Bandai Hyper Dragon Aqua, a yo-yo that was featured in Super Yo-Yo.
