After a few early prototypes, the No Jive Maple Leaf was the first production yo-yo made by Tom Kuhn, back in 1977. It was a one-piece, 50 gram solid maple wood yo-yo branded with a maple leaf logo. The original batch was between 20 and 25 yo-yos, which were mostly given away to family and friends.
Later, a reproduction of the original yo-yo was given a wide retail release in the 1990s and was sold for many years. A special 25th Anniversary Maple Leaf was also released in 2002.
