The Boss by YoYoFactory is a signature series yo-yo of Augie Fash, first released in August 2009. The goal of the Boss was to concentrate as much weight on the rims as possible in order to maximize spin time and stability, while maintaining a smaller size. To do this, YoYoFactory took a large-bearing 888, removed the hubstacks (posts and all) and increased the thickness of the outer rims.
The Boss is also an inexpensive alternative to the 888, being priced at around $65 USD.

This yo-yo is a new version of the Boss by YoYoFactory, released on February 13th, 2016. Redesigned from the original model, this Boss features a smooth and comfortable Step Round shape complimenting a smaller 50.75mm diameter. With silicone CBC Pad response and a SPEC bearing, there are snappy binds abound.
Whether as a take-anywhere pocket throw or a favorite to practice new string tricks with, the Boss delivers on such roles.
