The Prelude was a yo-yo released in 2011 by YoYoJam.
Description[]
The Prelude is designed as a low-cost beginners' yo-yo, made of injection-molded plastic in a simple Butterfly shape. It features a narrow C-bearing, allowing for long spinning and responsive play for learning tricks such as the gravity pull, the sleeper, walk the dog, and intermediate tricks such as the elevator. The Prelude also features silicone O-rings for a smooth response. If he or she wants, the user can also switch in a wider C-bearing for unresponsive play, thanks to the yo-yo's Solid Spin Axle system.
The Prelude was also used as the base model for two later YoYoJam yo-yos, the rubber-rimmed offstring Go Big and the 5A-oriented celcon Pinnacle.
