The Maestro is a yo-yo released in 2012 by YoYoRecreation as a signature series yo-yo of Naoto Okada.

Description

The Maestro is YoYoRecreation's first offstring yo-yo, machined out of delrin in that famous Step Straight shape, refined further for offstring play with convex side faces. The reasoning behind these convex sides is because in larger yo-yos, if there is too much weight put out into the outer edges, there would have been problems with its stability.

YoYoRecreation's solution to this very conundrum is to distribute the weight evenly throughout the entire body. This allowed for superior stability while maintaining its competition-level performance and long sleeping. As a result, the Maestro is well-suited to Naoto Okada's playing style of long boingy boingy and recapture combos, chaining a large number of variations with just a single throw.

The user can change out and swap in response pads of varying thicknesses for adjusting the yo-yo's string gap width and responsiveness, adding further flexibility to it.
