The Sputnik is a bi-metal yo-yo released by YoYoRecreation in 2015.
Description
The Sputnik has a lightweight 7075 aluminum body with stainless steel rings positioned on the inner lip, rather than on the rims, similar to the Laser. Its shape and dimensions are very similar to the Blink. It also features IrPad response and a Double Straight bearing.
On April 4th, 2015, YoYoRecreation released a limited edition 66-gram version of the Sputnik to commemorate Yo-Yo Day in Japan.

- The Sputnik is named after the very first artificial Earth Satellite, the Sputnik 1, which was launched by the Soviet Union in 1957.
