YoYo Wiki

The Fireball (Japanese: ファイヤーボール) is a yo-yo manufactured by Yomega and released by Bandai in Japan on July 1997 for its first Hyper Yo-Yo line-up.

Description[]

The Hyper Yo-Yo version of Yomega's popular Fireball yo-yo features the same Fireball logo on the print of the yo-yo as the US version, but smaller, and all the written information was replaced with "YOMEGA FIREBALL" and "BANDAI 1997 (or 1998) MADE IN USA".

The Fireball was essentially a modification of the Hyper Brain, having the exact same Rounded Modified shape, but without the centrifugal clutch system. The transaxle system is retained, making it spin much longer than any of the previous Hyper Yo-Yo models.

As with the Hyper Brain, the Fireball comes in various body and cap color combinations. The body comes in clear colors, clear colorless, semi-translucent colors, and even a glow-in-the-dark version. The printed caps come in clear colors, clear colorless, glow-in-the-dark, and solid black.

A made-in-China version would be released by Bandai for its second Hyper Yo-Yo lineup on January 2004 under the same name but with new side-cap prints, and again for its third Hyper Yo-Yo lineup on July 2010 as the SpinPhoenix (Japanese: ワイルドクロー).
